One of the principal highlights of my Los Angeles visit was meeting one of my first cousins, one whom I hadn't seen all my life. My Aunt and Uncle reside in Los Angeles..same goes with their three sons. The fact that I actually googled their addresses, phone numbers and email addresses a day before making the trip goes a long way in saying how Google connects people. (Thankfully I could confirm the email with one of my other first cousins.. who also stays somewhere around Los Angeles but with whom I have only chatted over the phone and never met in person). It was only a matter of minutes that I got a reply to my email..and what followed was something not quite anticipated. I received a very warm welcome with open arms, such that I could feel the bonds of blood pulling us together. It was an emotional yet very fulfilling experience to meet my relatives in LA. My big thanks to them, they made this trip so memorable by hosting me and putting me in contact with the rest of my relatives in the vicinity.
I took the opportunity to secure some video footage as their messages to my parents and sister back in India. (Bummer I didn't take one from the cousin I met for the first time this summer)..
My best wishes to you all.. I can't wait to see you all again... And I shall try to bring a digicam this time....
