Yesterday was one of those days that are a logistical nightmare.. I had three conflicting appointments.. and the one that I was really keen on keeping was the one that would help me organize my room better.. :-) I know this is still greek to you.. so let me give you some background..
The three conflicting events:
- I found this desk and dresser on craigslist at $10 and was keen on getting for myself. Yes the deal was tempting but so was the furniture. The owner was keen on disposing it off to the first person that arrived and I wanted to be that first person.
- I was looking forward to attending this Filemaker database developer meeting with a friend of mine who had informed me of the event probably a fortnight ago and had kept me posted on it regularly.
- I had my cha-cha-cha and salsa dance class.
Now what has that furniture got to do with the title of this post is as follows:
- My friend with whom I was to attend the meeting, understands my problem and forgives me for not attending it.
- My dance instructor lends me his landrover to tow the furniture to my apartment.
I had the wrong cell number of the owner, the buzzer wasn't working so a resident of the building lets me into the gate. - The owner helps me load the furniture into the landrover.
- A waiter at the restaurant next to my apartment building, helps me carry the furniture all the way to my room which is a 3 level walkup (no lift).
- I drive the car back to my dance instructor's driveway and he offers to give me a ride back home.
Now whoever said that the world is full of crooks never met these perfectly nice people in the same evening.

I believe the world gives us what we expect of it. I think that you have met nice people indicates you look for nice people and they come to you. Great to see you are not jaded or bitter or angry like most young people. You have made niceness cool.
